Rivers Effect Pedals finally started! Just 2 pedals, but its better than 0!
Line 6 DL4 | |||
Line 6 DL4 - line6.com |
This is a new addition to the pedal board for the Enlightenment tour I believe. For those of who don't know about Line 6 equipment, I'll give you a run down. Line 6 builds alot of modellers, are are most famous for their Flextone/POD tube modeller (which the band has also used). This box in specific is a delay modeller. It has 16 different digital effects that are based on real classic pedals. If you missed the Enlightenment tour, you probably didn't get to hear this guy. I am guessing it was added to the line up for the Maladroit tracks, but Rivers is also using it on older songs, yeilding great solos!

Boss DS-2 Turbo Distortion
DS-2 - roland.com |
This is a pretty standard distortion pedal. Its an update on the classic DS-1, that was extensivly used by Kurt Cobain. My understanding is that this pedals is used as a boost for solos/leads. Not much more to be said about it!

Jim Dunlop Crybaby Wah | |||
Jim Dunlop Crybaby Wah - jimdunlop.com |
From the looks of it, this is just a standard Jim Dunlop Crybaby Wah. If you know any better, please do tell! For those of you who don't know what a wah is, check out the solo in Hash Pipe, or Crab, and you will understand why is called a wah. Rivers uses this very gracfully, unlike alot of other guitarist who stomp on it! Hendrix also made extensive use of a wah.

Voodoo Lab Pedal Power | |||
Voodoo Lab's Pedal Power - voodoolab.com |
This is a power supply for multiple pedals, so that instead of having a bunch on 9 volt batteries to worry about. You just plug this into a 120 volt outlet, then plug the pedals in to this, pretty simple. This is not in the signal chain, and does not affect the tone.
